REAL LIFE HORROR SHOW!

Forget the obviously faked deaths in 'Faces of Death', 'Autopsy the Documentary' features extremely controversial real-life scenes from the pathologists slab.

The graphic footage in this DVD prompted unprecedented warnings of 'sustained medical horror' from British censors. The 60 minute scene shows Dr Thomas Noguchi - dubbed 'coroner to the stars' because of his autopsies on icons like Marilyn Monroe and Robert F Kennedy - pulling the covers off his profession by performing a full autopsy for the camera.

Footage shows the former Los Angeles County coroner removing and cutting up organs including the unidentified woman's brain. He has said of his decision to be involved in the film: "The public has the right to know what we do"

'Autopsy the documentary' is the first time a full autopsy has ever been released on DVD in the UK. Last year the country was in uproar over the full autopsy performed live in the UK by Professor Von Hagan. When broadcast on Channel 4, despite numerous warnings to viewers about content it drew more than 150 complaints. Yet more than a million people tuned in to watch it.

A spokeswoman for the BBFC said: "Just because something is shocking doesn't mean it can't be classified" Othercontentious videos which have caused outrage at the BBFC include Executions which was given an 18-certificate in 1995 but withdrawn from sale by some retailers.

'Autopsy the Documentary' is available from the official website, http://www.autopsyDVD.com .
